Goodwill Industries of Ft. Worth needed to make a change. The Point of Sale (POS) software they had been using for years was no longer supported, and they needed a replacement to help process sales at their 23 locations.
DONATED GOODS MANAGEMENT
Goodwill researched multiple options and decided to implement Solutions POS developed by Solutions ITW. In selecting Solutions POS, Goodwill got more than a POS system. They now have the ability to completely manage their donated goods operations with one system by allowing Goodwill to:
- Track Donations
- Price/Barcode Donated Items
- Manage Inventory
- Sell Goods
- Track Salvage
- Access Centralized, Real-Time Reporting
Goodwill successfully rolled out Solutions POS in March 2018. During the months leading up to the rollout, Solutions ITW worked with Goodwill to setup/configure data and install new servers to house the new system. The Solutions ITW team was onsite for the roll out on Tuesday morning, and the Goodwill staff was up and running on their own by Tuesday afternoon.
Solutions ITW handled everything...installation, data migration, training, support, maintenance, and more. Solutions ITW also worked with Goodwill's IT staff to train them to be able to roll out Solutions POS at Goodwill's other locations.
When asked how the new system has performed, Rosemary Cruz, Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth’s Vice President of Donated Goods & Retail said, "We are very pleased with our transition to the Solutions POS software. We were hoping for a user-friendly system that individuals at any skill level could utilize, while providing real-time reporting for our leadership team. This system has helped us achieve not only that, but also reduced training time, improved register security, allowed us to go green with record keeping, and simplified processes for both the cashier and management."
