# Solutions DGR 5.0
**Solutions ITW launches the new upgraded version of its proprietary platform – Solutions DGR 5.0.**
The latest version of this Goodwill-ready DGR system is our next big step forward for an already-mature platform. For nearly two decades, Goodwill stores across the country have benefited from Solutions DGR system created exclusively for Goodwill Industries.
Solutions DGR 5.0 is cloud-based and streamlines the implementation process, reducing costs and IT burden while simplifying infrastructure requirements and improving performance and reliability.

We are currently working with several Goodwills on an exciting project for New Goods Inventory Management. This inventory management system will provide many requested features including:
- Ability to create and receive purchase order
- Create and receive transfers
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories

Goodwill stores receive thousands of media items per year. Items such as books, DVDs, music CDs, video games, and more. While getting these donations is a great thing, it provides a unique challenge to Goodwill employees.
Media items take a lot of labor and expertise to determine the price, or if it should even go out on the floor at all. Labor that does not result in a sale is lost labor and finding as well as training employees with the level of expertise needed to handle media items is expensive.
Goodwills need a way to maximize media revenue by speeding up processing and eliminating the learning curve.

Solutions ITW was honored to participate in this year's Summer Conference in Spokane, Washington.
One of the highlights of the conference was the data and analytics poster sessions. These sessions spoke to the importance of gathering and breaking down data to help make key decisions that effect both revenue generation efforts as well as the ability to lower operating costs. Collecting this data is especially helpful for Goodwills during a time of rising minimum wage and low unemployment.
