Every year, at the annual Goodwill Industries Summer Conference, Solutions ITW hosts a production speed contest. This contest is designed to showcase how quick and easy it is to learn how to use our Solutions DGR Production System.
Trell Gatlin from Goodwill Mississippi was the winner of our Solutions DGR processing contest with a blazing fast time of 1 minute and 23 seconds! As the winner of our contest, Trell received a $100 Visa gift card.
THE CONTEST
We had several contestants compete in a timed challenge that involved producing, tagging, scanning, and ringing 10 items of clothing. We provided the incentive of a $100 Visa gift card to whoever was able to record the fastest accurate production time.
None of the contestants were familiar with how our Solutions DGR system worked, so everyone who participated started on equal footing. There were no limits to the number of attempts that contestants were allowed to make, and while we had many great times posted on the leaderboard, Trell Gatlin of Goodwill Mississippi posted the fastest time at 1 minute and 23 seconds!
THE PURPOSE
While the contest itself was very fun and provided a sense of camaraderie and competition among our participants, the purpose of the contest was to showcase how easy it is for anyone to learn how to use the Solutions DGR system.
One of the most common questions we run into when discussing the implementation of Donated Goods Retail and Point of Sale systems is: How much of a hassle will it be for all of our employees to learn a new system? By hosting the processing contest, we are looking to show that it's not a hassle at all.
At Solutions ITW, our goal is to help all of our clients succeed, from the processor, to the cashier, to the store manager, all the way up to senior management. We have designed Solutions DGR to help us achieve that goal, and it was fun proving that point at the 2019 Summer Conference!
